Not all is lost however. The Jade Princess Suren is a gentle, melancholic Vritra who feels her sorrow every day, but still has her light shining deep within her. She worries for her kingdom, but also for her own path in life and how to deal with those that see her.
As the Vritra clans began dying to the Jade Construct, across the world other races were feeling the strain on their minds as well. Garuda, Distant, human...all of them began dying along as their minds were torn apart...until the Vritra Dragon Tongue clan came to rule.
Amidst the lower Vritra castes, a phenomenon called the Jade Construct began to surface. The Jade Construct is an unstable field of time storing memory, thought and emotion within its many false facets. It is an evolutionary answer to a Vritra's mind control; a complete negation.

@Saftabi13 This is Suren Dragon Tongue, Princess of the Jade Kingdom. She and her people were once the primordial Dragon Vritra, who gifted the sentient Mind to the Useless Flesh. Suren's people can upkeep their sovereignty as the Mind's sentries no longer and it is breaking them.

Finished another of my WIPs. These are Suren's Jade Seals, I introduce them right in the beginning of my story. Vritra sealing 'magic' is known to have the ability of deconstruction; no magic or energy can upkeep itself. Jade Knights are taught a lesser version of this.
The first of the Four Beasts, this is Ozen the Unbreakable. She is the leader of the Eastern Kingdom and a very kind, respectable Vritra and a mother figure to Suren. Though the Beasts secluded themselves, they do welcome the Princess to their doorstep. I call her mama Ozen ;p
The Vritra all have horns which become only visible in unstable timefields. Vritra are said to appear in these fields in their true form, often accompanied by a halo of light and they communicate only with their pathokinesis and not speech. The shimmer are their scales.
Introducing Irene, Suren's personal handmaiden! Irene is a very young Vritra being only 635 years old. She and Suren have a warm sister-like relationship, though they keep their close bond a secret. Irene is set to appear in the next chapter of Jade Kingdoms.
