"Watching the fire from the bowl is always so entertaining! Come on, come closer, it's completely safe!"
For pyromancers like you, ma'am, yes, but I wouldn't risk the visitors.

Day 6 of the Pekoe - Introducing Tamsin!

One of the two cats who run the B&B, she’s a worrywart with a soft heart who is happy to host visitors in her home. When she’s not gathering fresh ingredients, you might find her making fresh biscuits or pasties 🥧😋

Koeswik’s a big guardian noodle~

A silent protector of the forest, he tends to view visitors with suspicion…but it is possible for kindhearted travelers to earn his favor.

Those granted a peek at his slick, wriggly, flexible shaft must be very lucky indeed~

Day 349 - Bark House Mountain Base, Ashness Bridge.

Watercolour

Bark House was originally used to store oak bark before it was sent to the Keswick tannery. Now the National Trust occasionally opens it up for visitors as somewhere to come and warm up by the fire.

A mere coincidence: I had 2 American visitors on my tour this afternoon and, somehow, we ended up talking about the war of 1812. ⚓
