Here’s the first of 11 chickens from the new book. This chicken is called the Blue Ameraucana Pullet and it has a beard!

These interior illustrations were done in a more simplistic style. I started with a detailed drawing, & then added the colors afterwords.

When I was little, I adored my copy of "Beauty and the Beast" translated by Richard Howard, with its gorgeous illustrations by @MrHilaryKnight and an afterword by Jean Cocteau.
