I'm not sure why, but the color combination white/black/red has always looked great on artwork. And, as everyone knows, I love demonic art. Definitely something to keep an eye out for.

raven’s black/white eye is a visual metaphor for always seeing things in black/white; automatically assuming the worst or the best due to her volatile emotions. i also never ever draw her with pupils (barring the white ones) to hint that shes even weirder than she looks ❤️🖤🤍

Here's a version with the dad's anime hair colour.
In the manga, his hair has no tone used. This would indicate he has very light/blonde hair. (black-full/most, brown-dots, blonde-none)
Yet when it came to adapting him in the anime, Kyoani gave him black/very dark brown hair
