The great thing about Brutes in Halo is they can sort of be whatever you need them to be. They can be tech'd up or stripped down, ornate and ceremonial or purely practical.

The basic design language only asks whether they're Orcs or Wookiees.

Crucible and Kael in his Nergigante form have been causing havoc to the ecosystem by devouring large amounts of monsters in the area. The Hunters send teams to slay them but fail everytime to bring the brutes down. And each time they come back, the seem to be getting larger~

Something interesting I saw pointed out is how the Banished seem to view facial hair as a sign of social power and status within their ranks

The lower Brutes are all shaved with the higher ranking Brutes sporting manes, eyebrows, beards, braids, etc etc.
