Stephen Hillenburg's SpongeBob is a huge influence in not only its visual style, but also it's comedy. This is easily one of my all-time favorite TV cartoons. It's absolutely brilliantly written and it's style is so appealing as well

Ahahaha... not really. Power Girl lost her memory at one point and they got up to shenanigans. Along the way there was a joke panel about them disappearing to another world and later a miniseries about that adventure happened. It was pure comedy.

Ended up checking out two graphic novels this month: Daytripper was really nice, with an interesting premise and a heartwarming message, while 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank was kind of batshit crazy with some good surreal comedy. Really neat art and paneling too.

I kinda want to do a fantasy comic, maybe back to comedy. My first comic (2004) was sci-fi/comedy. My second comic (2011) was a more serious/adventure sci-fi story for a kids' show. My third comic (2013-present) is sci-fi/horror. So yeah, something with more trees might be nice.
