Yes, David Cronenberg's remake is superb, but I have great affection for this original version. Vincent Price is terrific, the movie is very faithful to George Langelaan's short story, and that ending is a knockout. 1950s horror was cool!

Here's Italian artist Enzo Sciotti's cover art for the VHS release of David Cronenberg's remake of THE FLY (1986). Curiously, the image also features François Delambre (Vincent Price) from Kurt Neumann's 1958 original. Sciotti passed away on April 11, 2021, aged 76.
