It's been a while since I painted a portrait of this character of mine. I spent a lot of time learning and studying the fundamentals. Glad to see the progress, even on something that wouldn't be considered a portfolio piece.

This is DEATH STAR (flying giga drill space shark), an spaceship but also a running machine that makes use of its roller skate-style legs. 🏁🚀

I know there are key fundamentals to character design, they do seem to be different in the west. Naturally you want the eye to focus on the face. But like, sorry I like detailed af designs. You can't tell me that Tamamo no Mae's design from Onmyoji doesn't snap.
