I made it sound grittier than my previous remixes and I'm really proud of it! Definitely a refreshing experience.

Feel like they hit the right balance with Mystery Inc- more saturated but with darker underpainting and grittier textures, kind of a early days haunted mansion thing goin on, 60's looking as all hell too

Goddamn, the re-authored Blu-ray of The Thing (1982) is so damn impressive. Looks amazing and goes to show just how well the cinematography holds up.

But personally, I might stick to the DVD copy as the dated resolution better suits the grittiness the movie's going for.

While I dig most of 2010s design, I think whats gonna age the worst for me is 80s nostalgia/vaporwave, Im already sort of sick of it and its mostly passed anyways, though as with most design for me the best stuff is the grittiest (simulates grimy 80s films)

I started Giga Wrecker Alt tonight and played through the second boss. Here are some general thoughts so far:

I the general art direction. A lot. It's like a grittier, but less sophisticated MegaMan Zero/ZX style.

The physics in the puzzles are really satisfying.

Recently watched Nadesico Prince of Darkness.

... well, it's not bad, but it's also not too good. While I do commend that the animation is an improvement over the original and comedy and grittiness are well-balanced, the major issue that I have with it is the story.
