While other Spidey fans were going apeshit over the JMS Amazing Spider-man run, I was happily enjoying the Paul Jenkins' corner of the Spider-line.
My absolute favorite comedic trope in the JMS run is the awkward pause. I love how the pause is emphasized by drawing two panels in almost the exact same way. By doing this it creates a brief pause like a camera holding a longer shot, making it that much more comedically awkward.
