if you’ve followed me for a while (or just looked at my work) you’d know i’ve used many hues to color asian skintones before.. from the most "realistic" to the most unrealistic. It wasn’t my intention to make them appear yellow.

I tend to make them darker or lighter, depending on skintone and how "fresh" the scars would be. I also like to take into consideration what caused the scars, to come up with interesting shapes: was it a super sharp blade? Something rougher/more jagged? Or landing on something?

theres some exceptions to this rule in a few panels where chrctrs are fully colored which in that case if drawing a POC character they would have the proper skintone! This question was just referring to the comic's general artstyle rule of "blank or otherwise grayscale skin only"
