I'm not totally sure if any other Machina's have red eyes, but that is one thing Egil, Vanea, and Lanz, all have in common.
Is it a possibility Lanz is Vanea's child? That would have made Egil his uncle.

So when they fuse, our characters get noticeable rings in one of their eyes. For Noah/Mio, Noah gets one in his right eye, and Mio gets one in her left eye. Same goes for Lanz/Sena and Taion/Eunie
The only Xenogears Mech that I can think resemble Lanz and Sena's fusion is MAYBE Seibzehn, and that's just due to the big arms. Maybe a little resemblence to E.S. Dan from Saga 3.
Anyone got any better ideas?
