6. Use adjustment layers. Play with color tones and you can have results that you don't expect. If your composition has a lot of red, use the curves to balance those tones.

Revisting some old fan gems and realizing that I really love developing characters in layers. Exploring body shapes and how their outfits fit is really fun. This is Obsidian, and they are basically an embodiment of sadism.

All brushes can be used on vector layers. That's also very helpful for things like pattern brushes. With the Line Width tool you can change the width of the pattern as well as correct the line. I used it eg for the scales on the tattoo to make sure they fit nicely into the lines.
