This took about 15 hours of work, with a lot of trial and error. The steps were: sketch, frame planning, lineart, coloring and shading of Karthus, adjustments of the wraith paths & detailing, draw background, separate Karthus into parts for fabric animation, bloom effect.

theres a ridiculous amount of prep work that goes into it, i think you always get the best results by tracing for proportions or similar features (bump´s claws) for the initial sketch -> clean up the sketch -> lineart, also SIMPLIFICATION makes it more readable.
