medalist gives me the same feeling of how a shounen sports would be if it actually made an effort to give spotlight to female athletes. the formula is there, zero to hero mc, genius rival, etc but with a more balanced male-female ratio cast instead of overwhelmingly male-centric

Haven't talked about it yet, but Medalist is already one of my all time favourite manga, definitely borderline top 15-10. It gives me the vibe of Real, Haikyu and other top tier drama/psychological series. I don't give many reccs anymore but you should definitely read this one
