There are mimics, yep! Many of them are typical chest mimics, but ther are also rarer subtypes, like mimics that disguise themselves as clothes, or as smaller items.

Nurikabe 塗壁
They're massive yokai that simply blocks walkways and paths. Their appearance may vary, from either a odd invisible beast, to a Wall Mimic. You can just politely ask them to move away if you encounter either form.
