The Chiran design used to be random anthro animals, but was changed into equines as an homage to MLP.

Despite this, I still wanted to find a way to draw them that was distinct from how I drew ponies, while still being stylized and not too horse-ish.

In the early days of the fandom, it was fairly common to make a female version of your male OC, partly for humor, partly as a reflection of the majority female cast of MLP.

Female Penn was actually called "Pence" at first, because I thought "Penny" was too straightforward.

Tech was never really far behind ours in MLP. It was just a mixture of tech and magic. We went from arcades to cell phone tower infrastructure nation wide in 30 years.
It's completely fine to be apprehensive of gen 5. I think tech is a weaker reason.

Hey I’m Madgurl97. Hazbin Hotel has really inspired me to start drawing again and has even got me to start drawing people (kinda). Cause I mostly drew animals and ponies from mlp. And I even started experimenting with acrylic paint and switch to Pigma markers for my line art.
