I had to keep the design simple for the purpose of the drawing

Thinking of how cool the full moon rising over NYC looked last night so... xD Here's a whimsical full moon doggo doodle to kind of capture the cool reddish hue it had 🌕

Then with that selection I go to my shadow layer and cut out the shadows where the skin had been colored. I create a new layer and paste that to it. Then I colorize and change the hue of those shadows to be more reddish instead of gray. This step helps the skin look more alive.
