Ep.13 and Ep.18

Just a small gesture, but both instances marked HUGE milestones in the change of their relationship. SR held JO's hand when he decided not to kill him, and he later did the same when they finally slept together for the first time.

On Episode 10, Je-oh taught Seong-rok a lesson by letting go of MJS to beat SR up. This was not done out of hate, but done as to prove a point.

JO was showing SR that albeit he may act like a whiny kitten, he is no dumb damsel in distress. 🔥

Before Hee-seong turned vengeful and greedy, she had something with SR; she was happy with him. This past HS is the one SR fell in love with. SR wants to believe she's still there, but deep down he knows that she's been dead for a long time.

On all instances shown where Seong-rok had nightmares, Je-oh was the one who woke him up and stayed by his side.

The very first night SR slept with JO, he slept like a baby. And ever since then, he's no longer shown to have nightmares.

Calls of guilty thrown at me
All while she stains
The sheets of some other
Thrown at me so powerfully
Just like she throws with the arm of her brother.

But I want it
It's a crime
That she's not around most of the time.

The title for the next essay has been chosen: "The witch and the lustful spell". As you can imagine, the analysis will be very long, as it compares the two manhwas with the fairytale Snow White. I'll use the following panels. Expect it tomorrow

Yes Seong-rok will go to prison, but just because he killed me with that sexy back. 🤤😍

EVY-nim pours a lot of effort into her work. One of the indicators of this is how ALL characters have different skin tones.

That's right, not just the MCs but even insignificant BG characters.

I hope we can all send her more love & support!

Seong-rok leaves janggi pieces on the palms of the people he murd3red. The exact reason for this is not yet stated but we can assume that HS ordered him to do this. Why HS ordered him to do this though is also a question unanswered (for now).

Way before sleeping together, Seong-rok was already obvious through his actions that he had a soft spot for Je-oh. Like holding JO's hand when JO asked him to, letting JO sleep on his lap, not cuffing JO, etc.

(🦁: Now that's a whipped man. )

dear authornim 😍, would you like it if I examined your manhwa with another one Both works contain references to Snow White. Since the other is really popular, your work could get more attention.

SR's dream is to have a family; to have someone love him wholly without pity. It's depressing how HS took advantage of his loneliness and big heart by making false promises.

SR has lived painfully, but I pray his future only contains happiness.

This image represents the end of the relationship between JHS and DSR. The latter hates pity more than anything else, exactly like LJO (ch. 1). DSR in 27: "Poor me is done with the sympathy of others" He realizes he mistook pity for love.

5 49

A vital turning point in Seong-rok and Je-oh's relationship was shown in Episode 12 when SR disobeyed Hee-seong's orders.

Instead of getting rid of JO, Seong-rok chose for himself to let JO live and stay with him.

This panel is interesting for 2 reasons: the sky & her clothes. It’s evening twilight announcing the end of their relationship. Here she appears as an average married woman. But with DSR, white as top = purity, black= seduction just like her long hair

Seong-rok told Je-oh his full name on Episode 7 of The Pawn's Revenge.

It is also on Episode 7 where we discover that Je-oh is not skilled at giving head. 👁️👁️

(🦁: SR's such a tsundere. I know for sure he enjoyed that a lot.)

1 13

On Episode 11, Jae-ho asked HS if her and SR had something going on between them. HS denied the allegation by reasoning out that SR is 10 yrs younger than her.

HS's statement in here is funny considering that Jae-ho is 16 years older than her. 😂
