✨Putting in more shadows and lines and trying to keep to the pokemon style
its in black right now because i'm using a mask using multiply. lines and shadows are in different "layers" and i'll merge them with the colors properly later so it looks better!

I use ibis paint x, and within that it lets you change the type of layer so I could put a skin color a bit lighter than what I want for the base, then go onto a new layer and set it to multiply and go over the same areas again with the same color which nets a color around t-

!! i did base colours, then soft shadows (blush, lips, hair) with an airbrush, then added a purple multiply layer on the two dark areas (hair, shirt) and an orange/yellow overlay layer on skin. then i just went with a brush and added little highlights and stray hairs :D

4°(+ layer+crop) turn on the multiply option, and start making zigzags with inkpen hard following the shape of the hair strands/ blend only the middle of these zigzags;(you can choose the opacity of that layer)

I saw on the tl that its helpful if artist share their drawing process so here it is:
-I do lineart
-Then colors and details
-1. Multiply layer (erase for light)
-2. Multiply layer to add more shadow
-Overlay
-add on low opacity
-maybe another overlay for texture

Basically

Lineart on multiply, lasso tool flats on midtone beneath.

Lock flats layer, use lasso tool to block out planes. Set gradient tool to 30%, "paint" light.

Doesn't have to be exact, but close enough. This requires colours/colour scheme to be picked beforehand.
