Not only that, but Malroth’s Japanese name Shido (シドー) is almost similar to that of Shiva’s name.

With those similarities aside, there are times to where Malroth’s usually blue scales are green in certain games. There’s no explanation on why the color change as of yet. (2/2)

Malroth/Shido seems to be inspired by Hinduism’s principal deity named Shiva, who is also known as “The Destroyer” within the Trimūrti. Shiva is described to have four arms and blue skin, similar to Malroth with the difference being that his skin is actually scales. (1/?)

But the beauty of that whole mini arc of Question is how it develops both Vic *and* Shiva at the same time. Shiva isn't there just to facilitate Vic's change of heart (although she does), she's there out of her own interest, an interest that goes beyond just fighting.

Shiva, having already established that Vic is no longer interesting to her as a fighter, still accompanies him on his personal quest and shows genuine curiosity abt the way he tries to solve the situation with non-violence (having been beaten out of his two-fisted trance by her).
