I fix the structure of the body according to my friend's suggestion.
My drawing foundation is really bad.
What I did was breakdown characters into basic shapes/outlines to get a sense of their structure and how artists make them. Then I tried to replicate it as best as I could myself. Here's the Sonic study

Then the other safety structures protected the Guanyu, the halo & the high sides/rear to the carbon-fiber survival cell. All of these are tested with extreme loads to be safe
The FIA's toughest tests apply vertical forces, not longitudinal or transversal. A single structure could do very well from in a vertical stress but it isn't as effective in a longitudinal or transversal impact, it's easier to rip off. Some more "traditional" roll hoops.
...hurts the structure and overall story. Comic is way more violent and exaggerated and the characters just don't seem like real people, which ultimately hurts the emotional impact. I admire the author for diving this deep into his emotions in the comic, but the film...

@Smilingfishfood Despite her appearance and personality, she is quite powerful. Her reliability as a space pirate is far from matching Eldest. Also, her power legs were built by Youngest. A humanoid structure was too uncomfortable for the squid, so they settled on big strider legs.
Really proud with how her face structure looks here. After years of studying faces, it's finally paying off. or I don't see annoying mistakes anymore.
