I loved playing these at the arcade.. On the C64 I was more getting into the 3D viewpoint racers. 🤔 I think the time soon is going to pass, when I'll have to buy myself a spinner with a steering wheel attachment, just so I can mess about with the Sprint + Ironman games again. 😁

Championship Sprint, I feel like the had lots of these type games, not the first but it's a good one, it came with it's own track editor, which was nice.

IK+ seems to have all of the mindshare these days but, the original International Karate on the C64 is still one heck of a good game. 👍 Even with just one player, it's got a nice ramp-up in difficulty that keeps me feeling challenged. Needs a good joystick though, of course. 😁

Although I loved the version of this, it was the ZX I played first and enjoyed it, I think it captures the Cartoon very well

The Shadows Of Mordor (follow up to Lord Of The Rings) had several different title screens. Here are the Spectrum, C64, Amstrad and DOS ones. There was also a black and white Apple one.

So, there had to be an Impossible Mission 2. I had it on the C64. It's definitely a good game, but IMHO they added too much too it and it feels a little less refined. 🤔 That said, you get to enter a new robot-defended complex and search for access codes. So it fits the brief. 😁

Skyfox was absolutely stunning when it came out. 👍
I think the first time I saw it was on an Apple II. But, eventually, I got it for the C64, and it was such a blast. I had a lot of fun with this game.
