Hi! I am a mini expression tutorial.
Step 1: Make a foundation for the face and place the eyebrows and their expression.
Step 2: do the rest of the facial expressions.
Step 3: Delete the unusable base sketch.
Step 4: Color in multiply layer and overexpose color.
Hi! I am a dirty and quick sketch.
If you do not have time or desire to make a sketch with color and that it is decent, you can choose a color for the brush, then in multiply layer give monochrome colors, and in another layer give the highlights in layer mode overexpose color.
Finished Goggles. Next is adding a bunch of shadows and deleting the sketch later- and sorta blending the character to the background. Multiply and overlay layers are also used. Then background details to makeit more like water and things and dONE
more progress w rendering.. currently my process is ambient color overlay + basic shadows multiply, merge those w base colors and then start painting w direct color. now that i have a better idea of color direction i feel like it's more enjoyable hehe
There was an attempt for @hhaeyeun ‘s dtiys..
How, h how do you even make the highlights pop under 7 layers of multiply oh n o

Super fun to draw and not anxiety inducing. Feel like I did a better job with the multiply/screen layers this time.
here’s some close ups!! i’m really proud of this one cuz i painted it instead of just using a multiply layer 😂
Tutorial!
1. Line art
2. Base color
3. Base colors
4. Add a “multiply” layer and use a gray pink color
5. Add shadows
6. Color line art (alpha lock the line art layer)
7. Add highlights ✨
8. Play with filters (sharpen or noise or Gaussian blur or increased saturation)
I... may have learned a bit about multiply layers recently.
Rendering with multiply layers are such a ballache, but they're so bloody convenient. Anyway, I thought I'd share my process for my Tawna piece, because those are always fun.

My first attempt at using multiply layers in procreate! #sailormoonredraw
#artstylebend been a while since i've last done proper lineart and actually used the multiply effect
