On the left, without baked lighting. On the right, with baked lighting. Model got around 1k poly which is way lower than what you would want from a character in a low poly game. Third picture is with some more effects. All of them are directly textures. No shaders or anything.

Now we can play around with duplicating the blur layer and the opacity.
Duplicating it makes the thing look super intense, but you lose detail. But you get a really nice, sharp "shine" if you decrease the opacity!

And playing with opacity on both can give different effects.
