Paracelsus believed in beings that embodied the 4 classical Greek elements. Gnomes for earth, Salamanders for fire, Sylphs for Wind and Undines for Water. All these beings appeared in Secret of Mana, which is the first videogame I can recall doing so.

Absolutely loved every minute of Mary Poppins Returns! Wonderful mix of nostalgia and updated elements. Emily Blunt is brilliant. Incredible costume design by Sandy Powell! The fantasy/animated sequence costumes are jaw-dropping- love all of the hand painted elements!

Nocturne R

Nocturne from 2009 just showed up in my Bigass Art Dump, and I thought I'd do a retake of it at a rotated angle. Always loved the imagery of the original, but it looked a bit static and flat, so I tried to recreate the image faithfully instead of adding new elements.
