Funnily enough, the concept art and models for the canceled Quake 4: Awakening expansion pack shows even more mechanical spider-like enemies.

Pop Mhan. Who isn't a bad artist, but it just didn't "fit" Ghost Rider. Not with the stories Ivan Velez was doing anyway. Ghost Rider looked to be getting back on track with Saltares & Tex returning, but too little too late. It was swiftly canceled after they began.

After the comic was canceled Malibu started advertising Gold editions of the issues in game magazines (this particular ad being from EGM#51) and they seem almost proud that Capcom canceled them. The art they used for the ad isn't half-bad though (it's signed by a "Tim Shiro")
