I... may have learned a bit about multiply layers recently.

Rendering with multiply layers are such a ballache, but they're so bloody convenient. Anyway, I thought I'd share my process for my Tawna piece, because those are always fun.

My first attempt at using multiply layers in procreate!

been a while since i've last done proper lineart and actually used the multiply effect

Se ve muy mal q coloree así?
Es q me dijeron q se veía raro...

El sistema q uso ed de la capa en multiply y luego una en overlay...

No se si seguir haciendolo asi...

So uh.. I'm still very new to digital art and.. I just discovered how wicked cool the multiply blending mode is?? like holy fuck I wish I had discovered this earlier; my previous works would've been finished much faster. I'm such a slow learner... lmao

Why did I never use Multiply till now? The shading looks way nicer with it... and it mixes into the base colour way better... It works so well and I only now had a reason to use it...

Kinda gave up but idk I just like messing around with multiply and colour dodge lmaoskkxmcn

The shy one who is absolutely ripped under that shirt. Her name’s Prett. :) Took a bit more thought and sketching to get her look right (which you can see on Patreon). I remembered what a multiply layer is finally! XD

The power of allows me to plan my colours, layouts and dialogue fixes in bulk!
Sneaky preview at how I'm working on ch6 and a ch5 meme. Basically, vector lineart, paint tool flats, 56% multiply layer for shadows, overlay for colour magic.

y'all multiplying now??

It's RANNY!
trying out a new shading technique that's not really well suited for characters with lots of colors, but it allows me a lot more fine control over shading colors than a simple multiply layer.........

So today I found out that you could set a layer to "multiply" and it makes coloring a lot easier. I did a quick test with one of Araki's Rai sketches using the razzberry Josuke palette. I know the coloring looks super basic but it was still neat to find this out

I swear these are multiplying on their own!
