I remember doing a piece for The New Yorker for their The Knick review in 2014. So dissatisfied with the final was I, that I made another - submitted it, all good. Then it got bumped for another review.

I made this after fighting off a month-long desire to quit art after a disappointing portfolio review. It’s not perfect but it was better than anything I had done until then, so it feels like a battle buddy for me 😊

yeah i know about that, but most of the models are downloadable, so i just render basic lighting for preview.
i tried different lighting before, like the one of the left.
