Shading is my favorite part, it's what I find most fun and where the art really comes to life.

I experiment a lot with my shades and contrast. The correct colors can change the entire mood and quality of the art, so experiment as much as you can!

saturation tools are useful

Working on Sailor Chibimoon. Using color palettes from Annie from Wild Guns. Lessening also the saturation and making her face a little bit moe.

Have a Zest for Life! First year im attempting please enjoy some delightful hues and saturations of yellow!

I overlay colors little by little, and also paint opaquely on top, then merging them and painting opaquely again. Its easier to build saturation slowly than desaturate it later. Adding details like the frills only at the very last.

My first entry for Day 3! (I'm doing the busy bee version shared, although w/o emojis) Everything in this picture except skin and shadows are colored in the same hue with different values+saturation

I followed a Bob Ross tutorial digitally, then played with the saturation, hues, and added a few moogles :]

Trying darker colours with more saturation but this Pyra came out looking low key scary lmao

If anybody can successfully fix my problem with losing saturation so I don't have to screen cap my canvas workspace to save out every time, I will give them $30AUD.

Years of limited palette screen printing and pixel art leave you with some funny notions on color, haha.

Value trumps hue and saturation. You can use any colors anywhere so long as the values are right.

Making some Twitch emotes for myself, here.

or maybe...... for your consideration...... this.........
(increased the brightness and saturation of all the colors, but especially the darkest fur color)

If we’re talking about M&L artwork then I have to say that I loved the original desaturated/painted rendering they used to have. But I also really love how they cranked up the saturation for DT and Paper Jam’s artwork too (DT's ethereal blue outlines also go a long way)

lemme try again, the saturation should be correct this time.

The middle short animation was exported as animated mp4 and was concatenation with two static png in the front and back but I think I see some subtle saturation shift between the animation and pics. Do you guys mind looking into this? I’m using the newest version

Man why the fuck does over half of Fighter's pass 2 have orange hair 😂😂🤣😂
Wasn't the oversaturation of JRPGs in the first one enough Nintendo is so bad at rationing their content

Dragon Knight Morde is actually quite interesting. Skin tone's more purple, more saturation, rebalancing of his armor (shoulder, chest), and some face/helmet changes. Interesting part is Maki's final version is mirrored.

revision 1:
Col is a clone layer of your color+background and whathaveyou. Its needed so that the saturation is basically doubled (+D) instead of jsut overwritten to be a universally higher value.
This prevents greys suddenly turning into hypervivid colors (when D is low %) https://t.co/sKmP7y0QNW

Fumetsu no anata e / To Your Eternity Manga

He has passed everything and growing up everytime❤️❤️❤️

originally the colors were going to be a bit more saturated but I made a happy little accident with a desaturation layer and I liked it so I kept it
