Koi to Dangan's plot sounds pretty similar to Noda Ayako's much less trashy Sennen - Latent Heat 🔥 about university student Ruri who falls in love with a yakuza ojisan. The 3-vol. series ran in now defunct Hibana (💔). You might know Noda Ayako as BL manga artist Arai Niboshiko.

Ruri Gokou (Kuroneko): I'm a covert Otaku. Wears stuff with symbols that only real fans can recognize.
Tsushima Yoshiko: Same.
Sonoda Umi: Serious but shy.

They are both good, well since Oreimo came before in 2013 Ruri was 15 so now she'd be 21, so she applies 2b a waifu. LLS came in 2016 (IIRC) so Yoshiko was then 15, now she'd be 18, so also applies as waifu...but as old as I am I consider Kuroneko my waifu and Yoshiko my niece.
