After doing a video on a similar design in Affinity Designer, I wanted to try an approach in Inkscape using power strokes, a gradient, and clipping masks.

idk it just dumbfounds me cuz i literally just pick brown on the color wheel n pick a hairstyle. i give every char the same treatment regardless of skin tone. i just dont get it

and lighting isnt an issue in the two pics where i shaded. i just dont get the gradients and cubes

🥳Delighted to share that (18 Y/O. Hip Hop Enthusiast, verified NFT creator on Wazirx), joined our Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.

🖌️He created this lovely "Gradient Ganesha" artwork for our collab.

Link to the NFT in the thread.

Added some highlights using a 45% opacity "overlay" layer, and also by erasing parts of the gradient shadow layer.
I also added a few more shadows, and increased the saturation of the linework/shadows to make them look a bit warmer.

I have been studying on how to do both skin and hair. Basically use gradient for the skin.

I decided to start with the bigger shadow gradients, on a normal layer using the same color as the linework.

I love using gradient maps like filters

I found a place in-world with some absolutely stunning builds and plants for sale using premade mesh. Many of them are glowy and textured with gradients (similar to my style). Gotta say I'm taking notes, but it's encouraging to see someone else has been successful doing the same.

i don’t use it as often as i probably should but i like seeing the gradients i can make with the colours and using them with values (so like using left side of the “r” slider for darks, and then going to the right for lighter). the bi palette is one of my favorites to use

I think 2020s was the first time i was playing around with like cell shading+highlighting, as well as adding a overlay gradient to the foreground to blend easier to the bg, also hands back then were so tiny fjskfkdk https://t.co/FBNugBcEVj

For this comparison I will use my arts from the Carnival 😆😎🇪🇨, and those from Insect Week 😄, and although I like the 2022 one better in the latter, I can't deny myself the improvement in terms of gradients and effects 😄

If you like pinball, I recommend it~!
As for your aesthetic, it’s very ethereal and light! I chose characters with light colors and floaty designs as well as somewhat curly/wavy hair! The last one has striking, blue eyes and gradient wings that reminded me a lot of you too~

bonus: some alt versions of this study using gradient maps. i think they came out cool!
