Dude for sure they are worth reading. The movie & games are great, but the comics are some of my favorite of all time. To me the ending is a lot better, and they give a good ending to all the side characters as well and how they develop over the story.

Okay, I'm really glad I continued Black Bird. Misao has gone through some great character development. And Kyo! Volume 1 alone definitely doesn't do the manga justice! I'm on vol 5 now and I can't stop reading.
