ShB takes the cake by a country mile for me :,) i swear to god it's not because of Ardbert- the expac made me like him, not the other way around! ShB captured all my favorite storytelling tropes and is going to be a hard one to top.

Outside of the existential anguish in this episode (another core element of the storytelling in Big O) I also appreciate how EXTRA this one cut of animation is. You didn't /really/ have to add all these bits falling from Constanze but you did anyway--and it's delicious

He refers to his Batkids as soliders in one issue, then calls Tim his son in another. I guess Chip Zdarsky (or maybe Tini Howard) will use the same trope for Selina, after having Bruce basically call her a distraction. It's not great storytelling, but I'm hopeful for more BatCat.
