i love the cover for this album it's so cool aesthetically even though it pisses me off slightly that it's not grayscale like the rest of their succeeding albums. the cover for the 10th anniversary rerelease was amazing too they never miss for album covers imo

As I've said in an earlier thread, Corben does not over-render his figures. The intense colour is deceptive. The light areas in his paintings are typically more subdued than one might think. Convert the new cover to greyscale, and subtle modelling of the forms becomes obvious.

One more beautiful piece of artwork from remake by HACCAN. This could easily be the game's cover but they opted for the classic Hiroo Isono illustration. Always a good bet in my book! Upscaled, cleaned, and slightly retouched.
