After last issue, Ben Urich is suddenly unwilling to pursue the Matt Murdock story—unwilling to say the name at all, thanks to the broken fingers on his right hand. J. Jonah Jameson kicks him out, and then a random janitor reminds him he has five more fingers.

With this latest title page, Matt Murdock is recovering in a mission in Hell’s Kitchen. His wounded have been tended to, but he has a fever and pneumonia from his time in the East River. But at least he has nuns praying for him!

Kingpin is starting to worry about Matt Murdock being alive. “--but he is more than this. Now he is much more than this. He always was. And I- -I have shown him…that a man without hope…is a man without fear.” Clever.

Matt Murdock desperately drags himself to his father’s old gym, but passes out almost as soon as he gets there. And we find out who the woman was from the beginning of the issue: It’s a nun! But who she is and why she’s there will have to wait until next issue.
