The is the first traditionally animated movie I’ve seen in a theater in I-don’t-know-how-long, and it was delightful. Like the Simpsons Movie, it takes what works from the series, ups the stakes, refines the humor, and improves the visuals with nice shading.

Yes, it’s really cool! Aurex energon ore starts out gold and carries a high enough charge to offline a mech, but it is refined into either a pale lime green form (which retains the dangerous high charge) or bright red (used for medical purposes and building).
