I think people need to realize that a lot of the filler episodes in the Cuphead Show are referenced to what happened in the comics. Such as Sally Stageplay doing a one man act on her own play. So technically, they still based a lot from the game

@MBTYuGiOh Bit of a technicality, but I’m a big fan of Zombyra the Dark, AKA Zombire (the logo existing only in Japanese card art). He was from the original manga before DM took over as the main game. Him being Takahashi’s take on American comics was so cool. Would love to see more of him.
