The first thing that came to mind for the "ancient" prompt were which are formations created by and evidence of the first life on Earth. This is a stylized rendition of a cross section of one of these deposits

Probably my favorite image that I consider is this nautilus one. And it’s perfect for today’s prompt “ancient” because not only has the nautilus been around forever, but I made this image a loooong time ago haha. 🌀

Praemegaceros verticornis, a very large species from the Middle Pleistocene of Europe. Despite the name, the genus isn't thought to be ancestral to Megaloceros, they evolved into large forms independently, curious isn't it?
