Art I drew for Patreon. Been on a prehistoric kick I have so many dinosaur pics queued and posted there. So here’s a thylacine, saber tooth cat, and a dodo with coloration based on Ustad Mansur’s painting of a live specimen.

We're the storytelling duo of Dr. Zero & Rêve! We write & draw apocalyptic & post-apocalyptic sci-fi/fantasy/horror.
We also scan real animal specimens to make 3d-printed miniatures! They're great for making miniatures, embedding in dice, jewelry etc! (L/nk 👇)
@SoCalGshep Also Windsor the Gorilla may have been low key an awakening I didn't realize, I mean look at this unit of a specimen...

Here is a specimen of @JerryFranklinP1's alien species Ornithotyrannus Rex, though it's unnaturally hyper-aggressive for a species that's more content on scavenging, and it's eyes are in a similarily unnatural and crazed glow.
The Scottish Silurian eurypterid Slimonia for #FossilFriday!
This specimen is a molt and shows the head shield which has been displaced from the appendages underneath. They include the chelicera (marked in green), pedipalp (blue), walking legs (orange) and paddle (red)!
Happy #TransDayOfVisibility
I'm about 70% trans, 99% set on drawing fantasy stuff for a living.
142% set on gaining a significant but manageable number of interesting reptiles and specimens in the process. Wish me luck.
078. Spiny Cheep Cheep
A more agressive version of Cheep Cheeps has spikes on them to match its attitude. It moves faster than the usual ones, sometimes being able to chase down their prey if they face it. Larger specimens can also act as pufferfish.

@VladimirDinets @MarkWitton @albertonykus @digital_duck Coelacanths were known from complete specimens 100 years before the living one was rediscovered. For example, this is Macropoma mantelli named by Agassiz in 1835.

First and perhaps most obvious, is the sheer size of Tylosaurus. Large specimens of T. proriger likely grew to be 40 to 50 feet in length, easily making it one of the largest mosasaur species to ever live.
Oskar Boettger described this species as 'Phrynocara laeve' based on a single specimen from eastern Madagascar. At the time he described it as being in 'marvellous' condition. Fortunately, it remains in excellent condition today.

This archive of pressed plants contains specimens of many different species found in Craven. This page shows an example of chara delicatula.
The herbarium also includes a specimen of Lady’s Slipper Orchid, one of the rarest species in the UK.
