I didn’t plan to add highlights but now that I’ve started it’s become a way to practice simplified shading and I’m loving this method!! Being able to notice how I actually AM learning and improving makes me so happy esp since I’ve been having such a rough time lately 🥹

End of 2020 vs August 2022. I've been drawing on and off, never really believing I could become good, having a lot of mental barriers.
I made up my mind this year, I've started to orient myself towards art, and I want to keep learning and improving.

A common problem I have with fanart and stylization is that I want to make something look mine but end up struggling to stay on model and fall into symbol drawing, getting some really wonky results.😓At least I can see it and fix it now. It shows I'm improving!

I think I'm proud of my progress so far, I started to dive deeper into art and what interests me this year, I finally feel comfortable with what I love, and I want to keep exploring and improving my skills.
I'll start! I'm Flairi and I love the way I use colors. I also love the range I can do and that I keep improving! ♡
i have to keep reminding myself that growing at my own pace is okay, as long as i'm making effort to improve myself everyday, it's okay.
sometimes i fall into a dark place mentally, as i see my art = my value, but its so much more than that.

I randomly look at the first art I drew for U5 and the currently art and I see how much my artstyle improved. I even able to draw background. 🥹
