The PR version gets a 7 because it looks and sounds amazing but honestly FF1 is more of a 5... It hasn't aged well. This is probably the best version of it to exist even without the bonus content from the GBA releases, though.
The game is very fondly remembered, and perhaps no other Goemon game had as big an impact. It regularly appears on “Best Famicom games” lists, and was even re-released for the GBA as part of the Famicom Mini series.
