One other thing that I liked about the final arc of Bleach is how the used the captains' quirks and details as foreshadowing for their flashbacks: Shunsui's kinomo, Ukitake's sickness, Unohana's braid, Kenpachi's scar, etc. Well done :)

We've recommended the first volume before and much like the podcast, the second arc feels a lot more confident in its execution and the ability to go back has allowed them to pepper the past with foreshadowing and characters arcs that weren't present so early in the podcast.

Miu has nothing in her hair not even a proper haircut, nicole has a bow which leads to her not being able to beat miu in any way, everyone else has gravity defying structures, strange colors or braids, so now its up to tsubomi who also has nothing. Its the logic of foreshadowing.
