Made a quick guide on one way I use photo textures in my current workflow. It's no replacement for painting things by hand and requires you to do more work to integrate it into your work.

So, we had to rewind, and step back, we saw a fault on the details and made a new adjustment to the workflow, seems to look more lovely.

Copied from the original (left) and half-pixel interpretation.
The workflow for this is similar to a '1.5x' up-rezzed sprite (2x if you go for quarter-pixels), but the payoff seems way bigger.

Forgot that I didn't use multiply on shading layer, so I wanted to fix that, but now CSP doesnt want to save PNG format and just crashes?

this project is a convenienr way for me to try out a full character workflow in blender from sculpting to rigging
Experimented with workflow today. The idea was write steps, estimate times and set timers for steps. Steps were write ideas, AI thumbnails with Artbreeder, 3D sketch, 2D draw-over, refine 3D, feed through fotosketcher, and paint.
Here's a few screengrabs from the UN project I made in #DreamsPS4. I can not imagine a better tool for VR content production and a better cause to test out this workflow on!
