first thing that comes to mind is that nao's one of the 3 characters with an unused sprite used for her pillow (there was a merch collection with pillows w/ the characters' faces on them)... i'm not sure why the sprite went unused, but here's a pic of it!

as for hayasaka trivia, i don't have very much off the top of my head aside from the fact that he's one of 3 characters to have an unused/edited sprite used for his pillow (part of a merch collection). the one on the pillow is a non-nervous smile, which he never uses in-game

The "fat" and "middle" enemy types each have 17 unused burnt bone meshes, forming skeletons. The "large" and "small" enemy types lack them.

In two scrapped gore proposals, enemies either turned into collapsing skeletons, or bones were exposed as their flesh turned to ash. (2/3)

House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn's gore was cut, but it's still in the game files!

Here's unused "burned" models for all four unique sizes of humanoid enemies. The red burnt flesh texture can also be found separately. (1/3)

Very likely it was the artists on the PDP GB team. The unused menus and graphics look like things you'd find in Puzzle Challenge and the pixel style lines right up. The sprites on the save/sleep screens have similar touches

Fun fact: Ragnus was meant to be fully playable. He has an unused sprite set.

My guess as to why he isn't playable in the console versions is because of budget.

He's essentially two characters in one. Need two models and two VAs probably.

Compile was too busy hiring 4 artists.
