Me VS my OC Miyuu!
My hair is a bit blondish and Miyuu has a purple gradient https://t.co/11LnR7aDoF
want to share some progress pics of this cus i had a lot of fun with it! it was meant to be a warm up but it clearly got outta hand..
started with a grayscale and then added a gradient map. applied that to some flat colors. and then i painted over the whole thing to clean it up.
i made this since i felt like doing the warm multiply thing isn't a good way to harmonize colors. i usually use gradient maps for my color correction, but i made this to show different ways of doing it.
I had a lot of drawing this one as I experimented with the gradient tool in Krita for Charmander's inner tube and the flame on their tail to mimic what's seen in the Pokemon Home character model. This is also the first time I've drawn a Pokemon in liquid of any kind too.
Can't forget my other character's twin brother! And of course, me practicing with gradient maps.
It was fun doing his line art!

I’ve been trying to boost arty knowledge a bit and try things out, this is actually a colour piece but been using a black/white gradient map to gauge the contrast and tone. Was really interesting :3
@EliLuca1 @Auri01927202 I put some slight gradients on top of the colors, but that is all
Playing around with gradient maps but idk what I'm doing
(also Zhongli please come home)

Okay I am a bit obsessed with using a black/white gradient map to check that I’m getting tonal and contrast things right. There are prob still things a bit wrong here but I am *learning*, and I’m actually having a LOT of fun with this >.>

I tried another value study and then gradient mapping
And then did another really quick study for funsies.

decided to change my purple eye to gold with a purple gradient at the top
Working on getting to grips with gradient maps. I’ve mainly seen them used to help recolour the same backgrounds for different scenarios, but I’ve read about other cool uses for them as well so here I am :3 Also reacquainting myself with b/w rendering.
