Some Xbox titles too and some remakes/remasters in recent years.
Lots of dark imagery and goofy humor, I find it interesting now that I'm older but it scared me as a kid.

You can collect Aliens in UFO: A day in the life, a JPN exclusive for the PS1!

There's 50+ aliens to collect. The aliens are invisible & you have to investigate the surroundings to find out where they are (a dog being nervous, people acting random etc.) & take pictures of them!
