Here's where it gets interesting. Nari uses her Full beastification in order to transform into a giant snake. Ishida uses the colour red here as it symbolizes anger and thirst for blood. This is an expansion on the power system as we can now have transformations and upgrades -

I swear Excadrill SHRUNK in the transition and I don't even need to explain typhlosion.
There are pokemon out there that I think look nicer as a 3d model (Suicune is a good example imo, I always like its appearance in 3d) but a good handful of them feel like downgrades :(
