This zoomed in area accounts for 1/15th~ of the full painting.

Like the prev epics, to include in as much storytelling as compositionally reasonable, is a homage and tribute to itself.

Hey folks. Teacher discourse incoming.

It's so disappointing to see this from SE Hinton.

Graphic novels are VALID. Yes, students need to be able to read novels. But, the same way film is valid and has techniques unavailable to print, GNs can achieve things novels cannot- https://t.co/717G2Jvus5

Yokaitober Day 11: Tengu

Whether it's a crow or a red man with a long nose, the tengu has always been an important figure in Shinto mythology. Of course, me not liking tengu is a joke (because I don't like Aya)

Yokaitober Day 9: Komainu

A~Un~ Komainu is one of the guardian dogs of a shinto shrine. It is the 'un' dog, with its mouth closed and a horn on its head. The other one, the 'a' dog is named Shishi.

"One day, a hero arrived from far beyond the mountains.
Nothing happened as expected. Otherwise, there would be no story to tell!
But, precisely, his first breakfast let him very concerned!"

Like at other Shinto and Buddhist shrines in Japan, Hikawa Shrine provides traditional engimono (lucky charms) like omamori (amulet) and hamaya (demon breaking arrow). Meanwhile, ema plaques and o-mikuji (fortune strips) are for prayers.

This is Raru-Raru. He's Isiat and Shadi's pet noodle dragon. He's also a jealous, smug little asshole. Neither of them are quite sure where he came from. Dragon's are just big scaley cats anyway change my mind.

Il était hors de question que je passe douze heures sur un dessin, mais je me suis dit que j'allais tenter de me dérouiller un peu le poignet.
Je vais essayer d'en faire au moins trois.
