How do we recognise "play" in the ancient world? Children were likely more socialised with adults than today; most depictions of "games" (like this from the tomb of Baqet III at Beni Hasan, c. 2000 BCE) come from religious or funerary contexts. This ball is from Kahun

Interesting, with so many children's texts the agency is on the child, usually away from the parents - there are only a few that sprung to mind. 'My Dad's a Birdman', although strictly not a picturebook, is an ex. of a father being caring, empathetic & loving - rare in ch lit.lit

The illuminated minds who wrote the ancient texts lived in the "forest". attributing it as the source of their wisdom.
Shiva as Kailash or Vishnu as ocean, Goddess as the forest herself.
Our love for these stories should endeavor to protect nature full heartedly.

OC of the Day: Hina
My mascot oc, and Tallulah's favourite Euphorian, Hina! They're a non-binary polymorphic demon bunbun who exists in multiple contexts due to the mutability of their soul. The most well known 3 forms of Hina are Euphorian, Theiyu Red and Iride Hina.
